The rise & fall
5 moments · 2014–2026The key moments.
How it happened
Kry, which operates as Livi in Britain and France, is a Stockholm telehealth company that Johannes Schildt, Fredrik Jung Abbou and Josefin Landgård founded in 2014 to put doctor visits on an app. A $300M-plus Series D led by CPP Investments and Fidelity in April 2021 valued it at about $2B.
When post-pandemic demand for video consultations faded, Kry laid off roughly a tenth of its staff in late 2022 and pulled out of Germany. Mutual-fund backers have since marked it far down in SEC filings: Fidelity funds carry 'Kry International AB' at about $8.89 a share in 2026, and Affärsvärlden reported Fidelity wrote the stake down around 90%, to roughly $180M, leaving the company a few hundred million dollars below its peak.
Glassdoor reviews pointed to a lack of transparency and short-term, investor-driven decisions, with layoffs and management complaints surfacing after the 2022 pullback.
